What makes it popular? The Stat Connection

Go to your Stats page and check your top 3-5 posts. Why do you think they’ve been successful? Find the connection between them, and write about it.

I checked my stats and found pages that were visited most often, but it transpires that these pages aren’t actually my most popular. People visited these pages, but didn’t relate to the content enough to give them a like. I delved a little deeper and it turns out the posts that have acquired the most likes and feedback are actually some of my personal favourite posts.

The common connection between them all is LIFE. Each post has a bit of personal experience, and I have also tried to expand on my beliefs for HOW IT ALL WORKS. I like these posts because I don’t really know the answers to the questions posed, yet when I have tried to put my thoughts into words, the end result is a semi coherent opinion that manages to sum up my outlook on life, love, the universe and EVERYTHING.

It is amazing what I/we/you can do when i/we/you put our minds to it!

My popular posts

Be kind to your soul by being kind

Synchronicity in action

My karma ran over your dogma

Its ok to be crap

I used to be indecisive, now I’m not so sure

All of my favourite posts have come into being by following a Daily Prompt. I think that might be because the topic/question has a purpose, and my responses surprise me. When I add blog entries about my weekend or whatever, I already know how it will pan out.

In contrast, for the instance of all of the entries above, I read the questions, had a brief think about my response and then started typing. When in the flow of writing my brain can occasionally work more creatively.
